Yves Arispe
Cinematographer | Colorist | Photographer

Yves is a Venezuelan-American cinematographer and colorist with a foundation in analog photography, a degree in psychology, and a Master’s in Cinematography. His work blends a strong visual style with a deep understanding of human emotion, rooted in mood, color, and storytelling.
His debut short film, Waters, premiered during the pandemic and won multiple awards on the festival circuit. Since then, his cinematography has spanned drama, thriller, and dark comedy, always bringing a distinctive and versatile eye to every project.
His film, Wonderland—starring Lulu Wilson and written by Black List writers Laura Malatos and Helen Sun—sparked his deeper exploration into the dark comedy genre. His upcoming projects include two feature films currently in development across the drama and horror spaces.
Along the way, Yves has been mentored by leading cinematographers including Mark Irwin, CSC ASC, Suki Medencevic, ASC APC, and Jacek Laskus, ASC APC. Their guidance helped refine his technical precision and sharpen his storytelling instincts.
Yves’s films continue to screen at festivals both in the U.S. and internationally. He enjoys collaborating with directors to craft visually-driven stories with emotional impact.
Now based in Los Angeles, Yves is a proud member of Colorist Society International (CSI) and the Society of Camera Operators (SOC), and is a Certified Colorist with BlackMagic Resolve.
